The Highways Agency, at the time, awarded Amey the £275m maintenance and management contract for the Motorways and Trunk Roads in the Midlands. Amey brought their operational, engineering and consultancy skills together to manage over 650 miles of roads and a workforce of over 750 people. Fraser James Consulting provided commercial support within this contract commercially managing schemes from £100k through to £9m. Following the completion of the contract Fraser James Consulting were involved with the demobilisation of Area 9 and the transition to the new incumbent.
